| Things going on in the pond right now... | |
| A lot of pond owners have started up their ponds or are getting close to doing so. With the warmer temps and lack of plant coverage, string algae is starting to take over. This is normal and ok. The string algae is providing cover, food, and breeding material for your fish. When you get your pond balanced with bacteria, barley, and plants, the sting algae will slow down. String algae is actually good! It means you are in balance because it's a plant. It's just not a pretty plant :) | |

| Spring Maintenance Class and Cleanouts | |
| What a weekend! The warm temps brought our fish out as well as the algae. Getting your pond up and running is on the to-do list this month. We are doing Spring Start Ups currently and in the coming weeks. If you'd like to do your start up yourself but aren't quite sure about it, or you want to pick up some tips, attend our SPRING POND START UP DAY this Saturday, April 12th at 9am until 11am. We will start up one of our display ponds. If the weather is poor, we will still do the seminar but it will take place indoors. We do appreciate if you register online for planning purposes(classes page), but it is not required as we do not charge for this seminar. As always, feel free to call, email, or stop in with any questions. | |
